Sign in to desktop app

Is there anywhere that lists the sites, ports, IPs that are required for the sign in to desktop procedure?

Hey @waldrs :wave:

Welcome to the Postman Community! :postman:

You generally shouldnā€™t need anything to be able to sign in to the Client. There are occasion where we have see folks who are not specific company or private networks that have certain issues though.

More information can be found here:

Could you share more about the issues or any errors that youā€™re seeing when signing in, please?

Thanks Danny,
this is on a secure server and I need to sign in to be able to load the collection that Iā€™ve been given.

Without more contextual details or errors about what you can see, when you try and sign in using your Postman account, itā€™s going to be difficult to provide assistance here.

You have helped already. I now have the information that network team have requested.

Iā€™ve managed to log into the browser now, but it wouldnā€™t redirect back to the desktop. I get the following error when I try to log in with the authorization token:

The renderer.auth log contains: ā€œAuthentication~handleAuthorizationResponse: Failed to handle authorization response - We were unable to execute JavaScript in webview.ā€,{ā€œnameā€:ā€œErrorā€,ā€œmessageā€:ā€œError invoking remote method ā€˜GUEST_VIEW_MANAGER_CALLā€™: Error: Script failed to execute, this normally means an error was thrown. Check the renderer console for the error.ā€,ā€œstackā€:ā€œError: Error invoking remote method ā€˜GUEST_VIEW_MANAGER_CALLā€™: Error: Script failed to execute, this normally means an error was thrown. Check the renderer console for the error.\n at IpcRendererInternal.invoke (node:electron/js2c/renderer_init:2:11342)ā€}
