Public workspace issue due to team invite

Hi,

Please could someone help, having a bit of a nightmare here.

I accepted an invite to a Team, which I believed would give me give me access to that teams workspace. This was so that I could see a fork created by that team and accept their merges into collections in my workspace.

On accepting, my public workspace automatically became private. As this workspace is popular, and in use, I went straight into settings to turn public back on.

The workspace is now public, but owned by the team I joined. I am now listed only as a contributor, and in the team, I am a developer, and different user is Admin.

I have basically lost control of my Workspace and all my work, without intending to give it up.

What is the best course of action to restore the public workspace, and regain ownership, including getting back its former URL?

Thanks
Anthony

Hi @anthonyblakedev. Welcome to the Postman Community.

When the pull request was made to your collection, were you able to see the changes made in the pull request itself? I am wondering why you needed an invite to the team workspace to get the pull request merged.

This behavior is not expected, and I am not sure about what might have happened, but your workspaces should not automatically move to a different team. You might need to reach out to [email protected]

That’s exactly right, I couldn’t see the pull request contents to verify & merge, so the user making the request added me to their team. When I then set the workspace to public again, it seems to have transferred admin/ownership to the team, which I do not control. I’ve effectively lost control of all my work, and the URL has changed so my users cannot find it.
