We have a 3-man team, in a free workspace. I have admin, billing, and developer roles. Another team member has the same, and the third team member just has the developer role.
I am not able to send ANY requests. I get a warning that “Shared Workspaces” are now read-only for other team members. Editing and collaboration are included with a paid team plan.” The 3rd team member - who ONLY has the developer role - is able to edit/execute/etc.
Why would it not be that my account - Admin / person who set up the workspace - would be able to edit / execute requests / etc, and that my other developer would ONLY be able to execute the requests that I have added to the workspace’s collection?
i’m experiencing a similar issue where my send button on my shared workspace with the same config for workspace and i’m an admin as well. I’m also having general issues with loading the app since the latest upgrade.
I have the same issue, started on 11.85 and still on 12.0.3-1, i am the only user in the workspace and can’t use anything in my own collection. I can’t move it to another workspace, I can’t export it either. I am literally stuck rn.
To help us better understand your situation, as you’re talking about 2 different versions, are you able to expand on this information and provide some visual examples of that areas that you’re having an issue with?
Same issue. Admin role, free shared workspace, 3 people. Not able to add folders / requests. 2 days ago i was able to do so. Haven’t updated the postman version.
Same issue. Admin with 3 members on team. I own the workspace I am attempting to execute requests in but receiving message “You don’t have permission to send requests in this workspace”.
Hi @osjl welcome to the Postman community!
Could you clarify if you have multiple admins on your team? It helps us pinpoint the issue.
Also, just re-sharing the info:
The admin with the highest permission level would have the full access to them. Other members would have view-only access.
You can opt-in to a 30-day team free trial to restore full access for the whole team while you adjust and then upgrade. Hope this helps!
There is another member of your Team who has been given the Admin role, they will have full access in those Shared Workspace. They can only be a single admin and the other members of the old Free Team, have limited access to the Shared Workspaces.
This is at the Team level and is not to do with who created the Shared Workspaces.
A way to check who the previous Admins were on the Team is to here to go.postman.co/settings/team/members as it will list the members of the Team.
Are you now on a Team plan or have you moved to the Free individual plan?
If you’re on the Free plan, only 1 member (An Admin) of the old team will have full access and other will have view-only access.
The Admin provide you with those Collections either via connecting the Workspace to a git repo and you can get them from there or they can export them and you can import them.
