Session Expired

When I sign on to Postman, a dialog box pops up that says Session Expired, Your session has expired. Please sign in again.

So I sign in again, get same message. Sign in again, get same message, sign in again get same message. This happens over and over and over and over.

@8greys , We are sorry to see you face this problem. Could you please try closing the Postman app and then reopening it again and then try to sign-in?

@8greys If in case closing and reopening the application does not fix the problem for you.

Could you try to logout and login? Incase you have unsaved changes and you cannot logout, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Select View in Menu Bar
  2. Go to Developer
  3. Choose Show Devtools (Current View)
  4. In the DevTools window, clear Cookie postman.sid.

Sorry for the inconvenience you faced, we need a little help of yours to get to the root of this issue, when you go to DevTools to clear postman.sid, could you also tell us the Domain it was set on, this will help us get to the root of the issue.

Facing the same issue as stated above since long. Am unable to open posman desktop app. It says session expired and asks to login. Even after successful authentication from browser I still get the session expired dialog box repeatedly. Am able to open postman on browser. I can’t click sign out as all my work gets erased.

Thanks for replying. I have already raised a request on Postman support center. I have received an email from the support team that the services are closed for few days due to COVID. So, posted the issue on community. Also of I try to sign out and check data gets erased right?

@saisubhashini Why should your data gets erased? Are you asking about the unsaved data? Did you tried re-starting the app/machine?

@bpricilla I have tried restarting the app. Its showing the same session expired dialog box repeatedly. If I try to sign out its saying that all your local data will be deleted…So couldn’t sign out.

Oops, sorry about that. I haven’t faced such scenario. I believe the support Team will respond back ASAP :blush:

I am facing this issue. No cookie to remove. How can I resolve?

Just had this issue repeatedly being asked to sign in after authenticating with the browser. Clicking sign out and then clear local data seems to have done the trick.

I have the same issue and clearing removing the cookies didn’t help. I have local changes and cannot sign out.

Me too, and the problem is that if you sign out and remove cookies, is that you lost your local collections, please remove cookies expired or fix this :frowning:

I sing out first, then resign again. finally everything is back to normal.
