I was forced to make an account and after doing so everything was gone. Thank god for Backups but this should not happen in any case.

This is due to the Scratchpad EOL which was announced back in May on our blog.
You should have been presented with a popup explaining this and the process of migrating your data once you’re signed in/created an account. Was this not the case when the version was updated?
The data can be migrated into the new account from the
Settings > Data menu option under the icon.
If you were only using the Scratchpad and are now using the Lightweight API Client, you have the option to
Export your data. However, in order to import this you would need to be signed in.
