At work we’re on version 7.25.0. Every time I open the app, I see a dialog pop up saying
“An update is ready to install. Postman is trying to add a new helper tool.”
This requires admin credentials, which we devs (unfortunately) don’t have. How can I get Postman to stop attempting to install this helper?

Welcome to community
If “Auto-download” is disabled via settings, only major version updates can be disabled but the minor updates will be downloaded automatically. There is no way to stop these updates as of now. We do have a feature request for this on GitHub, the team will notify on the same thread once we have a way around this

**Describe the bug**
Postman updates even when Auto updates are turned off
**To Reproduce**
Run a slightly older version of Postman
Postman will update, breaking critical functionality
**Expected behavior**
Don't update until directed to

Yes, this has been raised before and closed. This should not be ignored.
