I lost all my collections. Please help!

I have never signed in into a workspace and never exported my collections to hard drive. Today postman got updated and all my collections are gone!

I understand that I have to create an account. OK. If I do - will I be able to get my collections collections back? If yes - how?

Hey @maintenance-astron14

Once an account is created, you can go to the ⚙️ > Settings > Data option to migrate your Collections into a new Workspace.

Where can I find “My Collections”? As I said: I never exported my collections to hard drive. I do not see them in Scratch Pad after the update.

After creating an account, did you try the method I suggested?

You will need to show some visual examples of what you can see on your side as that part is quite 1 sided at the moment

Yes. I did. Can you confirm that my understanding of the flow is correct?

  1. After postman update all my Scratch Pad collections do not “disappear”.
They are staying “somewhere” in Postman. They are just not visible.

  2. I create an account and signing.

  3. After that I go to `Settings > Data → Migrate Data and all my collections should move from the “somewhere” to a workspace and become visible in the workspace.

Is that correct?

Have you tried this flow or are you asking what happens if you try this flow?

I’m unable to see what you can see in your instance of Postman, without more visual examples.

Yes. I am asking what happens if I try this flow. Can you confirm that my expectation is correct? Yes or No?

It’s the behaviour I mentioned in my first response.

Once an account is created, you can go to the ⚙️ > Settings > Data option to migrate your Collections into a new Workspace.

I’m not really sure what else you need to hear until you actually try this out and see the flow for yourself.

Let me elaborate. I lost all my collections in Postman on my work. I can’t just try what you said: When I am trying to login I am getting “Unable to connect to our servers” error message. I understand this is caused by firewall or proxy settings in my organization. In order to overcome it I need to fight with out IT. It will take a lot of time and effort. First I need to make sure it worths the effort. This is why I need from you kind of confirmation that my collections are not lost and I will have them back once I login. I am going to show this thread to our IT.
