How do I disable "Helper" pop up?

I’ve seen some other posts about this topic- but I repeatedly get the “install Postman Helper Tool” installation attempt popup box (at least 5 times a day). I am using a work computer so I do not have permanent admin access (I have to enable it for 30 minutes at a time). I’ve done this and tried to install the helper tool- but the pop up box still appears after the fact. I also tried the solution suggested here ( Helper Tool Install - requests - #4 by danny-dainton )- but the popup box still appears.

How can I disable this permanently?! It’s very annoying!

Hi @cjobson :waving_hand:. Welcome to the Postman Community :postman:.

You need to quit Postman before running the chown command, as it’s probably unable to adjust permissions while the application is running. We’ll look into getting the docs updated to reflect this.
