Im Running Postman on a Mac. i go through cycles of “Postman is trying to install a Helper Tool” and it requests my credentials.
Ive added my credentials and updated Postman, only to have the same thing pop up a couple days later. Once it appears I might get the same request 5+ times in a single day.
Are these just badly worded update requests?
are there really that many “Helper tools”? or is this Groundhog day

Welcome to the Postman Community! 
I believe this is related to the install location of Postman on your machine - It’s likely showing this each time there is a new version update.
I will need to reach out to the dev team and get a better answer for this though. I will update you once I know more information. 
This is happening practically every day for me
User’s are not admin in my environment. The ability to manage updates (ie. set to never check) through MDM / DDM (ie. managed preferences) would be a great outcome.
