Collections aren't showing up outside of file tab

In my folder, I have these postman files (v3 structure) in the local items tab. But they arent in the collections tab where I can actually call them. I’m confused on how to get the collection files actually usable? I see this Import modal, but it doesnt allow me to drag my postman collection over.

Hey @mcancelosi :waving_hand:

Which version of the app are you currently using?

Could you also try fully restarting the app, please. :folded_hands:

12.0.7. Ive restarted and cleared cache already.

Am I right in expecting that collections in my local files should auto show in the other tab? or is there some process I need to do to be able to use it?

Is there a link to be able to redownload v11 until I can get v12 up and running. This is a blocker

@danny-dainton

Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the workspace?

Does the file system contain the .postman directory?

I have a .postman and a postman folder

I have disconnect and reconnected. uninstall and reinstalled. Still nothing

I found the download link here for v11, but its broken all of my variables So thats not really beneficial. https://dl.pstmn.io/download/version/11.87.4/win64

Additional information. I 'pulled from cloud’ and it still doesnt show up. I was able to pull environments though.

Hi @mishra-aanchal, would you be able to share the collection files? If you need you can email me them [email protected]. If you can’t share the files would you be able to see if there are any errors or warnings in the bottom status bar.

I don’t think I can share it. Would have to discuss with IT security, but I will say that there are no errors showing up. That was previously the case a few days ago where the v2 files were failing to auto convert to v3. But right now, no errors. I would say that the web app is reading the collection fine.

Totally understand not being able to share. Let me dig around, i just noticed that the download link you shared was for windows, can you confirm that you’re on windows? Also if you happen to have any logs you can share that would also be helpful. You can find logs on windows here:

Quick update, reproduced the issue and found a possible root cause. I’ll post here again once a fix is released. Thanks for reporting this!
