Best way to handle API collaboration in small teams on Postman free plan?

Hey everyone,

I’m working in a small team (2–3 people) and we’re currently using Postman for API testing and collaboration.

It works well overall, but we’re trying to understand the best practical way to manage collaborationon the free plan without constantly running into friction.

Right now our main use cases are:

  • sharing and updating collections

  • testing APIs together during development

  • keeping environments in sync

  • quick iteration between frontend/backend

The issue we’re facing is mostly around collaboration flow in a small team setup, especially when multiple people need to work on the same collections or tests.

I wanted to ask:

  • What’s the recommended workflow for small teams on the free plan?

  • Are there best practices to avoid collaboration issues?

  • Do people usually structure projects differently to stay within free tier limits?

  • Any tips for keeping things smooth without upgrading immediately?

We’re not trying to overcomplicate things just looking for a clean, efficient setup that works well for a small dev team.

Any advice or real-world setups would be really appreciated.
