Tab switching in Postman Windows

Hey guys, I agree with Josh’s earlier posts. Postman is missing a usable “Cycle Last Used Tabs” feature found almost everywhere else. I’d love to see it added to Postman! (side note, there is an awesome extension I use that does this for chrome - CLUT - Cycle Last Used Tabs)

See this short video showing it working in Vscode:

Pressing ctrl+tab brings up the file list (ordered by most recent) with the next one selected, so releasing it switches. You can also keep ctrl held down use tab to move another one or tab+shift to move backwards one. This is also a pattern found in windows and mac with alt+tab and cmd+tab.

I’ve tried to use the alt+arrows but have three issues with it:

  1. It isn’t a single shortcut, it requires two to move back and forth
  2. It requires two hands instead of just left hand
  3. Most critically, it doesn’t switch tabs, it navigates history.
    • Say I’m in Request A, then switch to Request B. Within Request B, I switch between body and scripts while building it. I then want to switch back to Request A, but alt+arrow has to go through the whole history chain instead of just the tabs.

Happy to describe further if it helps!
