During the us-east-1 outage this past week, I was unable to access any of my postman collections on the desktop client. This indicates to me that even running on my desktop, the collections are being fetched to order from the cloud. Is there a way to have my collections be saved and read only locally? It was really a drag, and I do notice latency even on a normal day. It’s ridiculous to have to wait for postman to fetch my collections when I’m running a desktop client. I’m also unable to export my data en masse from the client as well, which also feels wrong.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this, I totally get how frustrating that must’ve been during the outage. It’s never a good feeling to be blocked from your work.
We’ve heard this feedback clearly. We’re actively working on offline support, including filesystem access and native Git capabilities, so you can have your collections available locally whenever you need them.
