Postman is a "Master of None"

This is just my opinion — I understand that others might see things differently. I really just wanted to test a simple post against my server.

Instead, the app is full of features that feel unrelated to what I’m actually trying to do: workspaces, AI chat box, tutorial links, API networks, UPGRADE ME!, reports, insights, create Team!, UPGRADE ME!, private API, notifications, home, accounts, UPGRADE ME!, snippets, environments, collections, monitors… the list goes on.

Again, this is just me. Maybe some of this is useful to others, but for me, it’s a lot of noise.

Hey @JMiguel541 :waving_hand:

Welcome to the Postman Community! :postman:

We appreciate you sharing your honest thoughts! We totally get it, if your goal is just to make a quick API call, Postman can feel a bit feature-heavy.

Postman has grown from a simple REST client into a full API Development Platform, with tools that support teams at every stage of the development lifecycle. That said, we completely understand that if you’re mainly sending simple requests, all those extra features can feel like noise.

We’re always exploring ways to make that experience simpler and more focused, so your feedback is really helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to share it.

If you prefer something lighter for building and testing APIs, our Lightweight API Client offers a basic experience focused on just that.
