Hello,
I’m using Postman 11.8.1. I just moved a collection from one workspace to another. After the move, all my variables and my prerequest script are gone.
I moved the collection by clicking on the ellipsis to the right of the collection name and then selecting “Move”. I chose the new workspace. The collection disappeared from the old workspace and showed up in the new one.
When I went to review the prerequest script, I found it was blank. I then found that all the variables are gone.
I checked the trash and there’s no sign of the collection. The script (and all the hours that went into writing and testing it) is just gone.
Please tell me there’s some kind of 2ndary backup to retrieve the data from the original workspace?
Thanks,
-Ken
Hi, @orbital-module-engi4. Welcome to the Postman Community.
This is a very unusual behavior. What variables are gone? Collection, environment, or global variables?
Are the pre-request scripts that got removed at the collection or request level? Can you still see any of the pre-request scripts for each request in that collection?
I’m trying to understand and get specific details on what was deleted and what was moved.
It was a collection that was moved from one workspace to another.
Everything that’s missing is at the collection level. I.e., the collection-level prerequest script is gone and the collection level variables are gone.
The request-level scripts are still there.
Hi @orbital-module-engi4. I was not able to replicate this behaviour on my end.
I’ll recommend that you download your application logs(Postman Desktop logs, Postman Web logs) and send them along with this issue to support@postman.com so we can take a closer look into your account.
