Hey @scirciualpheys

Welcome to the Postman Community! :postman:

Did you sign out during that update process? Do you know which versions you updated from/to? Which OS platform is this?

As the Variable names are still there, did you have all the values only in the Current Value field?

Latest version of windows with i presume latest version of postman,
could you please make sure that this doesn’t happen again ?
The app was a lot better a couple of years ago when you could use collections in the app without a login.
Is there a way to rollback an update in the application ? could be a nice feature since it doesnt work well

I’m unaware of the full details of what you have or haven’t during that process. If you logged out, any session based data would have been cleared, that would have included all the current values. The UI would have displayed a message regarding this during that process.

Is this a new account? Did you have one before you updated the version?

Do you have the option to migrate data in the ⚙️ > Settings > Data menu?

Imagine being connected for more than a year, or if at some point in the future I need to log in on a new device and forget my password.
Will it automatically log me out from my current PC?
How can I ensure that my environments won’t be deleted in the Postman app if my account automatically logs out?

By placing the values in the Initial Values of the environment or other scopes, those would be synced and available if you were switching machines or platforms (Desktop, Web or vscode).

You can also place sensitive data such as tokens, passwords, API Keys, etc in the Postman Vault which are locally stored on your machine.

Perfect , thank you very much Danny, i’ll try that, you could close this thread.
