After Postman update no initial and current value anymore

Hello all,

Does anyone know if there has been an update that changed the environment variables? I used to have 3 columns; variable, initial value and current value. Since about 2 weeks i only have the a column named Variable and Value. This is a not working as good as before since need to swith client_id’s for example and now i don’t know the name of the old one anymore and have to look it up externally.

Im not sure that this is because of an update? I cant find it anywhere in the settings. Hope someone can help me out. Thanks!

Rob

Hey @RobLoket2020,

More information can be found here:

Could you explain more about your use case, the name of the variable would still be the same.

This is quite frustrating, you appear to have removed all current variable values without warning and only left initial values?

Hey @navigation-meteorolo :waving_hand:t3:

If you are seeing data in the Value column, those would be the equivalent of the current values, if these were shared those would have a cloud icon next to them.

If shared, that would be the equivalent of an initial value. These are not shared by default, as they were previously.

You can also use the 3 dot menu, to display the Shared Value column, to give back the same look and feel of the older variable experience.
