I have a Regression test suite, which I run every night through GitLab with newman. Sometimes few variables just disappear from the Environmental Variable file randomly. I use Postman desktop - Version 11.63.3. How can I stop this from happening? This does not happen every day, but it happened 3 times in last month.
Hey @latha7 , sorry you had to face this issue.
Do you have any other collaborators who work on the same environment?
Can you please try signing out and then signing in once again and see if it helps.
I do have one another person who works on the same environment. I always try to close the app completely and reopen the Postman app. But that never helped. This time I will sign out and sign in again.
@apoorvgupta03 So within 4 days, it happened again. Today 4 variables went missing from the Environment variables file. I tried logging out and log-in again, but the values did not appear.
@latha7 Can you please confirm if your teammate also has the latest app version and have they tried logging out and log-in again? We want to ensure no user is on an older version of the app that may have stale local data. Logging out and logging back clears your local state and ensures that your environment variables gets in sync with the other collaborator.
I will ask my entire team to do that. And hope it doesn’t occur anymore.
Is it the initial or current values that are being lost?
Its the entire variable which is being deleted.
