New to using APIs... Need some guidance

I am trying to test an API from a vendor. The documentation is asking to send an API Request Document. Yet I cannot find anywhere in Postman to create and/or send a document with the request. I can share the documentation for help.

To start I am just looking to pass the login information to test the valid response.
