JSON reporter creates AI descriptions

I use Newman to execute runs and randomly stumbled onto this AI generated description. We have never added any AI functions to our Postman/Newman workspace, but now we have this AI generated description in our json report. Would anyone be able to know anything about this feature and how to disable it?

Hey @twoafas :waving_hand:

Welcome to the Postman Community! :postman:

Would you mind sharing an example of what you’re seeing and where you’re seeing this, please?

Hi Danny,

Thanks for your quick repsonse.

Of course I can share some of the findings. I have exported the request to a curl and attached to this email, and I have also attached the report generated by the json reporter. This is the only request in our collections that produces this description I have not encountered any other request doing this as well. If you need anything else to find the cause, please let me know.

I saw text files are not allowed, thus I added them as images.

Thank you for providing that information.

Postman doesn’t automatically create descriptions for requests, it has the ability to do this but it’s very much an explicit action that’s done by a team member with edit access.

Could a member of your team, added that by mistake while taking a look at Postbot or Agent Mode?

By going to that request in the UI and removing the description before saving the Collection, will remove it. You can also just edit the raw Collection JSON file to remove it.

Hi Danny,

Now that you mentioned Postbot I figured out the issue. Thank you very much.
