Hi all!,
I’m experimenting an issue importing an openapi.json from localhost (http://localhost:8000/openapi.json) using Postman APP:
Version 11.33.5
UI Version: 11.33.5-ui-250220-2335
Desktop Platform Version: 11.33.4 (11.33.4)
MacOS ARM64.
When I select the import option and past the above given url it fails with CORS error. Please see the screenshoot.

and
Thanks!

Hey @supply-cosmonaut-254
Welcome to the Postman Community!
I believe that the URL for importing something via that feature, would need to be a public facing one and not from a local server. I might be wrong there though.
What’s the output from that URL? If it’s a schema, that can be copy and pasted directly into the import modal.
Hi !
Thanks for your answer. That url returns a valid schema, which if I save as a json file and later import it using the same tool it works.
On the other hand, this feature worked fine up to about 2 weeks ago when suddenly it stop working, then lately I decided to upgrade to the newest version with the hope this would be working again, but it wasn’t.
Having said that, what surprises me is in the request made it is showing the ‘origin’ of these requests as https://desktop.postman.com
(remember I’m using it as an app and not the web site) when it should be localhost, isn’t it ?
Hey Danny can you guys please add a feature that supports hot reloading form http://localhost:8000? It is super annoying to have to download the updated spec and then paste it in every time my spec has a change.

Hey @research-astronome13
You can raise all new Feature Requests over on our Github Issue Tracker:
Thanks for raising that, I spoke to the team and they are taking a look at that.
I will update this thread once I know more information or you can check for updates from the team directly on the Github Issue.
