Using custom webhooks to sync data

I’m working on setting up 2-way data syncing between zoho crm and atera. Using custom webhooks, would this be possible? I’m not entire clear on whether or not a custom webhook is right for the job. We haven’t had any luck integrating the 2 with any other integration platforms.
