Unable to Schudule a collection

Hi:
I have several collections, i can run it locally, now i would like to schedule run one in the cloud. I select the collection, i deselect all the request and leave only 1 o 2 checked to test the integration first, but as soon as i select the “Choose how to run the collection” to “Schedule runs” all the options are disabled and i can’t enter the schedule name, etc

Hey @miguel-santos-lidera :waving_hand:

Welcome to the Postman Community! :postman:

Would you be able to share an image of what you can see please?

Are you using the Desktop or Web Version of Postman?

Hi Danny:
I’m using Postman Desktop. I attach an screenshot. Once i select the requests and select to schedule all the fields are blocked and can’t continue.

Are you able to do a normal Collection run with the same configuration?

Yes a Run manually can be run. Leaving opened the scheduled window, closing and opening the postman the button was enabled “sometimes” so i was able to schedule in that way, seems that a bug is with the button activation.

Which version of Postman are you using here?

Are you using the desktop client? Do you get the same behaviour in the web platform https://go.postman.co ?

I’m not sure what might be happening for you here, I will test things out further on my side to see if I can replicate the behavior.

I have exactly same issue , desktop and web platform. my postman up to date . “ Postman v11.85.1-260224-0818 is the latest version.”

Hey,

Maybe this is related to how scheduled runs work. Manual runs execute locally, but scheduled ones run on Postman Cloud.

So if the collection or environment isn’t fully synced, or if its in a local/private workspace, that might be why the schedule button stays disabled.

Hello Edward , Thank you for reply, I think all my collection and env on cloud , how do you make sure your collection or env on Postman Cloud ? Thank you

Hey :waving_hand:

Can you share more details about your specific issue, please?

Any screenshots, or context about your plan, the Collection etc.

From what I understand, the issue happens even though everything seems synced to the cloud.

@einan001 – to make sure your collection and environment are on Postman Cloud, please check:
Make sure you’re working in a Team workspace, not a Private one.

Confirm the collection and environment show the cloud icon (:cloud:) and say they are synced.

Try opening https://go.postman.co and verify you can see the same collection and environment there.
If everything is visible in the web app and the button is still disabled, then it’s likely a bug rather than a sync issue.

I’m having an issue with the Postman desktop app. When I try to schedule a run, it doesn’t allow me to proceed. As shown in the screenshot, all the fields are grayed out and unavailable.

Thank you Edward , I did check my postman again , my workspace private which is showing “image” this lock icon, and environment icon is image , I did check non private collection still same issue. I did confirm postman web app , i can see my collection and env.

I’m also running into the same issue; this appears to be fairly recent as I was able to schedule something successfully a few months ago, but am no longer able to.

Were you previously part of a Free Team and using this in a shared Workspace? Do you have full access to the Collection?

Were you ever part of a trial plan?

Are you able to create a Monitor for that same Collection that you are not able to create a Schedule Run for?

Just trying to gather more details to understand the full issue and get to the bottom of the reason why it’s happening.

Hi @danny-dainton and @orivanteco Since my last post, I just wanted to give an update—the issue still exists.

I’d like to explain a few things. I’m using a Postman Enterprise account, and I can see the changes regarding scheduled runs. When I select a folder that has many test cases (for example, over 100 tests), the scheduled run option is disabled. However, if I select a folder with 5 to 10 test cases, the scheduled run option is enabled.

You might ask about my Postman version—I’m using Postman v11.90.1, which is the latest version.

To answer another question: yes, I am able to create a monitor for the same folder or collection.
