I suggest to trim variables when leaving the edit text field.
Sometimes when names are copied from texts there is a new line at the end or even a space.
When trying to use a variable, it is then necessary to specify “{{VARIABLE }}” or even “{{VARIABLE
}}”.

So any whitespaces before or after the variable name should be trimmed.
