This month’s edition includes a preview of Notebooks that allow you to publish interactive articles on the Network, news about the Developer’s Choice Awards, and best practices from top publishers.
Let’s dive in
Learn from the top publishers
Each month we look at the fastest-growing collections on the Network and share key lessons any publisher can take away from these high performers. Let’s explore what we can learn from this month’s leaders:
SailPoint: SailPoint helps organizations manage and secure digital identities, ensuring that the right people have the right access to the right resources at the right time, all while maintaining compliance with security and regulatory requirements. From SailPoint’s developer community, the ‘Run in Postman’ buttons, prompts users to download the fork into their workspace. Doing this fast-tracks end users to make their first API call.
Klaviyo: Klaviyo helps e-commerce businesses build better relationships with their customers through targeted and automated email and SMS campaigns. Not only does Klaviyo showcase their well organized Collections on the Postman API Network, they also host numerous videos tutorials on their YouTube channel which detail how to use their API using Postman.
AirWallex: Airwallex scales global businesses by providing tools for easy, cost-effective international payments, currency conversion, and financial management through a scalable platform. Published on their developer portal is a quick start with Postman guide, which walks users through forking the collections, setting up authentication and populating the environment variables — taken together, these reduce the time to first API call to minutes.
Introducing Notebooks: a better way to teach and showcase your API
Developers don’t just read — they want to explore, test, and build. Meet them there with Notebooks. These interactive articles blend markdown, code snippets, and live API calls in a single, streamlined experience. No tab-hopping. No guesswork.
As a publisher on the Postman API Network, Notebooks will let you guide your developer community through real use cases, faster onboarding, and deeper product understanding.
With Notebooks, you can:
-
Engage developers with interactive, executable guides – no more static content. Let developers run live API calls directly within your notebooks, keeping them engaged and accelerating adoption.
-
Showcase real-world use cases, not just endpoints – create interactive, hands-on API workflows that help developers understand how your API solves real problems, so they can go from exploring to building with your APIs faster.
-
Reach millions of developers effortlessly – Your Notebooks will be automatically visible to all your watchers, and new developers exploring the Postman API Network can discover your APIs through these notebooks. And the best content will make it to the Network’s front page.
We’re rolling this out soon, and we’d love for you to be among the first to try it. Interested? Reach out to us here.
Going live April 2: the Developers’ Choice Awards
Developers vote. The leaderboard updates in real time, and only five APIs will earn the recognition. Activate your community and make sure your API is one of them. Learn about how to get the word out.
Streamlined email notifications for your Watchers
To ensure your users receive only the most important information in their email inboxes, from now on, only your on-demand updates will be sent via email. We are also disabling by default any other change emails our system previously sent. This can help your watchers to receive highly relevant updates. Comment below if you have questions for feedback.
