During my recent Creative Exploration Days at Postman I decided to explore making animated assets that could be used in Zoom. With more people than ever working from home and meeting online I thought it was a great opportunity to expand our branded assets.
I made two Snapchat filters that can be used in Zoom, Twitch and the native Snapchat app. I also made two animated, looping backgrounds to be used as moving backgrounds in Zoom. Below are instructions for how to access and use them.
Using Snapchat Filters in Zoom
(Postmanaut Helmet, etc)
- Download SnapCamera > Snapchat for Web.
- Open SnapCamera
- click the cog on the top right
- Click the drop down under “choose your camera”
- Select the camera you’d like to use as your snap camera (likely the one built in to your computer)
- Ensure “Flip Video Preview” is off
- Go back to main Menu
- Click Search Lenses Bar
- Search for “Postmanaut”
- Select Desired Filter
- Open Zoom
- Click Zoom. us > Preferences >Video
- Click dropdown menu for “Camera”
- Select Snap Camera
- Filter is now enabled on Zoom
- Ensure “mirror my video” is unchecked
- To disable select prior camera selection

Using Snapchat Filters in Snapchat
(Postmanaut Helmet, etc)
- Download Snapchat for iOS/Android

- Use to take photos or videos, to share or download to your device
Snapchat Filters in Twitch
(Postmanaut Helmet, etc)
- Download SnapCamera > Snapchat for Web.
- click the cog on the top right
- Click the drop down under “choose your camera”
- Select the camera you’d like to use as your snap camera
- Ensure “Flip Video Preview” is off
- It should now be working
After that, you’ll need to add this as a video capture source in your streaming software.
To do that in SLOBS:
- click the + button in the “sources” panel
- select “video capture device”
- click the top drop down and select “snap cam”
- it is now added!
