Getting Error 401--Unauthorized for soap request after added username and password

Hi @sivalingam.gct14,

Thanks for providing a screenshot. Although with just this information, it will be difficult to assist.

Can you send us a screenshot of the error?
What type of authorization is the SOAP service expecting?

With that, we can get a better idea of how to resolve this issue for you.

Thanks,
Orest

Error 401--Unauthorized

Error 401--Unauthorized

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:

10.4.2 401 Unauthorized

The request requires user authentication. The response MUST include a WWW-Authenticate header field (section 14.46) containing a challenge applicable to the requested resource. The client MAY repeat the request with a suitable Authorization header field (section 14.8). If the request already included Authorization credentials, then the 401 response indicates that authorization has been refused for those credentials. If the 401 response contains the same challenge as the prior response, and the user agent has already attempted authentication at least once, then the user SHOULD be presented the entity that was given in the response, since that entity MAY include relevant diagnostic information. HTTP access authentication is explained in section 11.

Hi @sivalingam.gct14

My apologies on the delay in the reply, it did not come through to me.

Additionally, I am aware of the RFC on HTTP codes. What I am more specifically looking for is the response you receive from the server giving you the 401 HTTP response.

Also, do you know what type of authentication the service is expecting? Is it actually Basic Authentication?

Thanks,
Orest

I am also getting the same error while invoking a webservice method. Instead of a response from the API, I am getting an HTML page with below content

From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
